Babette Display font was inspired by (1987) Babette's Feast, a film about Parisian refugee Babette moving to on old town bringing joy and happiness back to the people by serving her genuine dishes. A font was prototyped with Glyphs referencing Garamond Old Style's serifs and Bodoni Modern's skeletons. It was specifically created as a purpose of display usage to giving an elegant sense of type.
